    •   Keep your lawn cut, shrubbery trimmed, walkways edged, and beds mulched.
    •  Paint your front door and threshold if it could use it.
    •  Let as much natural light shine in your home as possible; leave all drapes and curtains open.
    •  During evening showings, leave the porch light and all inside lights on for a welcoming appearance.
    •   Keep your kitchen as clean and neat as possible.
    •  Repair leaky faucets, sticking/creaky doors, and cabinets.
    •  Be sure bathrooms are clean; leave shower open. Bathrooms can sell a house.
    •  Make it a habit to straighten rooms and make beds, at least until your home sells.
    •  A sweet aroma will produce an inviting feeling and encourage buyers to look longer.
    •  Make your home sparkle; replace rusted or torn window screens and wash windows.
    •  A neatly organized closet makes it seem larger.
    •  If possible, let the agent and buyer see the home on their own. Buyers feel more free to express themselves when the owners are not present.
    •  Keep pets contained; some people may shy away from your house because of animals (or be allergic!)
